Known for their excellent quality and high safety standards Wiedenmann’s Terra Spike models are some of the best turf aeration machines in the industry. And, the latest versions of the Terra Spike models are no different. In fact, the Terra Spike XP6 and Terra Spike XP8 extend the features and possibilities of previous models making them more efficient than ever! Here are just a handful of the Terra Spike XP’s best features. You may be surprised at how much they can improve your golf green, fairway or sports ground!

Deep turf aeration

With the Terra Spike XP6 and XP8, you can now achieve a working depth of 40cm. Deep spiking results in healthier turf, allowing roots to reach the water and nutrients they require in the soil for lush green grass to grow.

Easily changeable working depth

Changing the working depth and entry angle of your tines is quick and easy with the Terra Spike XP6 and XP8’s QuickSet function. Simply wind the central crank to make the desired adjustments. Or you can even choose to change the working depth hydraulically, from the driving seat for added convenience during operation.

Simple tine changing

Mounting tines is an absolute breeze with the Terra Spike XP6 and XP8’s QuickFit function. No specialist tools are required; just a spanner and your own hands to screw and unscrew the lock nut that holds the tine in place. And don’t worry, the tines still fit in securely so that you don’t experience any looseness jeopardising your aeration!

More productive area coverage per hour

When operating the Terra Spike XP6, you can cover 2400 ㎡/hr, at a speed of 1.5 KM/hr, with 20 mm solid tines and a square hole spacing of 130 mm, thereby achieving 52 holes/㎡. When using the Terra Spike XP8, you can cover 3150 ㎡/hr, at a speed of 1.5 KM/hr, with 20 mm solid tines and a square hole spacing of 130 mm, thereby achieving 52 holes/㎡. When undergoing light aeration ideal for preparing the ground for overseeding, using 5 mm needle tines you can achieve up to a whopping 3,700 holes/㎡! Now that’s productive!

A multi-functional machine

Turf aeration only occurs a handful of times each year, and you don’t want your aerator locked in your shed unattended and disused for the remaining months. Which is why Wiedenmann designed the Terra Spike XP6 and XP8 to be multi-functional machines. Quite simply, you get way more bang for your buck with these aerators. Replace the rear roller with an optional hydraulic rotary brush, and you can top dress and deeply loosen the turf at the same time! Alternatively, you can also reduce mess (and work for yourself!) with the optional core collection scraper attachment. It skims off and deposits the cores from hollow tines neatly for easier collection.

Superior vibration absorption

When a tine hits a stone in the ground, all hell can break loose with your aerator and tractor. Jolts and vibrations caused by this collision are uncomfortable for you as the driver and are not healthy for your machine (namely its deep aerifier). The Terra Spike XP6 and XP8 have been designed to eliminate these risks with two new high-tech dampening systems; VibraStop and PowerPack. These systems work together to absorb the impact of the collision and cushion the blow for both machine and driver. Continuously smooth operation is possible with the Terra Spike XP!
